30 Second Dance Party

My new favorite thing is the 30 second dance party. What is that you say? It’s a celebration, but it’s not the quick yell of ‘yahoo’ or ‘yeah’. It’s not exactly the high five either. It’s more. It’s all about you.

Have you ever felt empty handed when something great happened and no-one was around to celebrate with you? You get off the phone in a meeting with your boss and you do the mental fist pump and smile then look around at three cubicle walls to feel dissatisfied? No more, I say. Get your ass up and dance for 30 seconds! It’s not that long really and if you get the grove and want to extend your dance, by all means do so. I’ve gotten older and the junk in the trunk takes some time to get swinging, but swinging to the beat none the less with the best smile on my face. I got the moves like Jagger 🙂

Celebrate that victory, that only you do so well. Don’t leave the physical space empty so that it feels useless. The space around you is charged by you. If you get up and move the space around you responds and gives right back to you. Any other person around your space will experience your positivity. You’re not only giving back to yourself but your giving back to others.

“Ah geez… I am not a good dancer.” Really? Guess what, doesn’t matter! Pick up the vibe and make it your own. Doesn’t matter if its weird or even if your a professional jammer…just move and enjoy. Embarrassment isn’t welcomed in the 30 second dance party. It’s even fun to get your friends and family involved too. Look out, it’s been known some breakout into song – bring it!

So dance, I say. 30 second dance party anyone?

Comment – Share, Looking forward to the party 🙂
