Born of Fury by Sherrilyn Kenyon

Rating 4 stars out of 5

13079147For those of us who like Sci-Fi as a backdrop to the weaving of steamy romance and awesome adventures in story telling, you’re a fan of The League series by Sherrilyn Kenyon, and if you’re not, you should be.  Let’s face it, she’s awesome at it and your engrossed in new species and cultures that you can relate to in our global world that extends to galaxies far away.  Mine you, I’m fan of Sherrilyn’s and many of her series, I enjoy each one for a different reason besides  the fact she’s an excellent author.

Born of Fury is book #7 in the series and yes, I was pre-ordered and so excited when July came for its release date.  I’m so spoiled now, with pre-orders on my favorite authors and series.  I really enjoyed this book but like any series I wonder when I might get disappointed or story plots become a predictable formula.  There’s some similarity, but there are twists and turns to this story that really leave you satisfied.

For further insight into the story, below are some of my favorite quotes from the book:

“Family isn’t about the blood you share. It’s about the people willing to bleed for you.” —Maris – Born of Fury”

“The bitterest truth was always better than the sweetest lie.” – Born of Fury

“Sometimes you have to put your foot down… And sometimes you have to put it up their ass.”—Hauk – Born of Fury
